Everyone interested in Estonian language studies is invited to the ‘Ku-ку!’ fair this Saturday in Tallinn
23.03.2018

The Integration Foundation looks forward to seeing all Estonian studies enthusiasts in the rooms at Tallinn’s Song Festival Grounds from 11:00-18:00 this Saturday 24 March for the ‘Ku-ку!’ Estonian language fair and family day. A similar event, on a slightly smaller scale, was held in Narva a week ago.

The day will provide an overview of the interesting and innovative language-learning opportunities that are available in 2018. It will showcase e-learning environments and study materials and there will be sample language cafés featuring Anna Levandi and Ruslan Trochynsky as guests. Learning materials will be on sale at the fair. Consultants will be on hand to advise people on the state exams in Estonian and help them complete sample tasks from the exams.

Entertaining everyone throughout the day will be MC Deniss Karabljoff. There will be a prize draw on the hour every hour, a café and fun workshops for the littlest visitors to the fair. Performing at the event will be the duo ParaTain and singers Masha Romantica, Artjom Savitski, Maria Vam and Olesja Klink. Those attending the fair will also be able to enjoy the Maikl Fireillusion Show.

One of the prizes up for grabs is participation in the innovative Game Club ‘Estonian for communication’ course for adults known as ‘Juhan’ (created by Aleksei Razin and Mare Kitsnik). The methodology used on the course can be tried out in workshops at the fair.

There will be free parking at the Song Festival Grounds on Saturday for anyone attending the fair. Access will be via the Oru gate.

The aim of the event is to bring adult language-learners together with training companies and publishers offering language-learning services and materials.

The event forms part of the ‘Development and implementation of advisory and information system’ activity of the ‘Activities supporting integration in Estonian society’ project of the European Social Fund.
