Competition for organisation of integrating sports and cultural activities opened


The Integration and Migration Foundation ‘Our People’ (MISA) announced a project competition for the organisation of integrating sports and cultural activities that support a common field of information.

“With the competition we provide an opportunity for supporting integration in the Estonian society through cooperation activities in the field of culture and sports. We wish to foster tolerance and cooperation and support for example through performances, festivals and exhibitions that introduce different cultures or through translating children’s and youth literature,” commented Maarja Mänd, a coordinator of the Multicultural Education Unit of MISA.

“In addition, with this competition we also support mass or team sport events that involve people of different national and cultural backgrounds,” added Mänd.

In total, 64,400 euros are granted as project assistance. The deadline for the submission of project applications is 28 April.
Those interested can attend the information day that introduces the competition and is held in MISA office (at Lõõtsa 2a, Tallinn) at 10:00 on 15 April and where further information can be obtained about the requirements and objectives of the competition. To attend the information day, prior registration by e-mail to is required. The terms and conditions of the competition and all the required documents are also available online from the Foundation’s website.

The project competition is supported from the state budget through the Ministry of Culture.
