New competition for supporting the creation of a more coherent society

The Integration and Migration Foundation (MISA) announced a project competition for the organisation of integrating sports and cultural activities that support unified cultural space with the aim of increasing the coherence of society.

The objective of the competition is to support the cultural and sports projects of various nations in order to introduce Estonian culture more broadly and stimulate the cooperation between Estonian cultural institutions and those of other languages. The wider aim of the competition is to bring the nations living in Estonia closer together.

“For creating a coherent society it is important to increase the mutual communication between various national groups and strengthen social connections. With this activity we want to make our contribution to all Estonian people having an equal opportunity to apply themselves in our society if they wish to do so, irrespective of their nationality, native language, religious beliefs and cultural background,” said Dmitri Burnašev, Director of MISA.

The budget of the competition is 86,215 euros and the deadline for applications is 20 March 2015.  For those interested in applying, an information day will be held at 14:00 on 11 March in the offices of the Integration and Migration Foundation (Lõõtsa 2a, Tallinn), where the conditions of the competition will be introduced.
