Counselling centre to open in Tallinn Central Library once a month
27.08.2015

PRESS RELEASE

Starting from 2 September, a consultant from the Integration and Migration Foundation will be in residence once a month at Tallinn Central Library to share information and answer any questions clients might have. These integration-based information events will be held in the Foreign Literature section of the library.

“We’re really pleased that the library’s interested in working with us and that from next month on we’ll have the chance to put on these information events about integration,” said Kätlin Kõverik, a senior consultant with the Counselling Centre. “The service is aimed primarily at people of other nationalities living in Estonia who need information on matters related to everyday life in the country. At the library we’ll be able to outline to them what the counselling service is all about, provide them with initial information, identify what their main problems and needs are and pass on contact details, if they need them, for further talks and advice.”

The Counselling Centre is open to anyone who has questions about Estonian language studies, education, work, places to live, medical services and social issues. Information is available about applying for citizenship and residence permits and how to fill in other important documents. Where needed, clients will be directed to the relevant service provider.

The Integration Foundation’s consultant will be sharing information with clients in the Foreign Literature section of Tallinn Central Library (Liivalaia 40) on 2 September, 7 October, 4 November and 2 December from 17:30-18:30.

Individual consultation is also available in Tallinn at the offices of the Integration Foundation at Lõõtsa 2a (8th floor). An appointment should be made in advance, if possible, by e-mailing info@integratsiooniinfo.ee or calling the free number 800 9999. The Tallinn  Counselling Centre is open on Mondays and Fridays from 12:00-16:00 and from Tuesday to Thursday from 12:00-17:00. The Narva office of the Counselling  Centre is open to visitors in the Keres Centre (Kerese 3, 3rd floor) on Mondays from 9:00-18:00, Wednesdays from 9:00-17:00 and Fridays from 9:00-16:00.
